China has used the launch of Shenzhou 11 to introduce new uniforms and badges for their taikonaut corps. The badges, worn on the right chest, include a new astronaut logo (or wings), a spaceflight honor mark and name tag. Stars are added to the spaceflight honor mark to indicate number of flights (for example, Jing Haipeng had two stars on his mark for Shenzhou 7 and Shenzhou 9 and will earn a third star after he lands from Shenzhou 11). The taikonauts will wear the China Manned Engineering Office logo on their left arm, their mission patch on their right arm, and pins for their previous missions.

A skirt in weightlessness, I think Michael Collins would approve. |
