It looks like there might be two versions of this patch out there: one with merrowed edge and cut edge. I asked the designer Tim Gagnon if he was aware of the specifications for the patch and he felt the cut one had way too much yellow showing, so the cut version may be unfinished or seconds. They share the same date code from A-B Emblem on the back. |

Simple. The first one did not get its border (this is done by hand after the patches are cut). |

If they're unfinished that begs the question as to why they were they not destroyed or finished? How did they hit the open market (at least 18 of them). |

This seller has now sold a total of 30 of these obsolete Expedition 54 (original six crew name) patches so far, so it is now looking likely there is at least 30, maybe more of these "unfinished" obsolete ISS-54 patches out there?Ashley Boykin from A-B Emblem is currently investigating as she has only authorised the ones issued to NASA and to the cosmonauts at Baikonur so far. |

The old patches for Expedition 52, now patch for Expedition 54, will have to be redesigned or updated due to all the proposed crew changes. Any information, when the new ISS Expedition 54 patch is available? |

You are probably looking at around Christmas 2017 or early New Year 2018. Certainly not before. (Though the astronauts, cosmonauts and launch crews/technicians will get theirs earlier). |

I don't think the "54" works as good as the "52" on the original version. |

Given the yellow space station as the destination (aka "cheese") and the fact that rodent research is on going on the orbiting laboratory, perhaps a more apropos description would be a mouse maze? |

Great correction! I knew it was a mad house - the logo! It became mad after replacing 52 by 54... and yellow border instead of white completed it! So no idea about 5 stars?

Doesn't redoing the patch make the prior released ones more valuable?I couldn't help but think of "Star Wars" when I saw the new design, with the decal more so. |
