Robert Pearlman Editor Posts: 51466 From: Houston, TX Registered: Nov 1999	posted 09-09-2016 04:42 PM The T-Rex design was created by a family member of an OSIRIS-REx team member. According to principal investigator Dante Lauretta, they refer to it as the "fan art" emblem.
James913 Member Posts: 327 From: Houston, TX Registered: Oct 2004	posted 09-14-2016 12:03 AM There is also a slightly smaller (3.5-inch diameter), less detailed, lighter blue version of the "fan art" patch. I believe this was a first generation to the 4-inch version being sold now.

My guess if the Utah patch is authentic perhaps it was for a team at the test range.
