From Space Florida's Ryan Kobrick: A new logo for NASA's Kennedy Space Center has been unveiled by director Bob Cabana, accompanied by video with slogan "Go". For comparison, here is Kennedy Space Center's prior logo: |

I love the design but I would have make the field of stars a darker blue and "KSC" red. |

Here's a look at the new patch and pin. From the reverse of the pin's backer card: Kennedy Space Center, located on Florida's Space Coast, is a 21st century multi-user spaceport of the future. Today at KSC, NASA is closer to sending humans to Mars than ever before. Our commercial partners launch cargo, and will soon send astronauts to the International Space Station.Robotic envoys also depart KSC for destinations throughout the solar system on missions of grand discovery. When it comes to exploration and commercial space, KSC is GO! |

While I do agree with Tim in changing some of the colors of the new KSC-NASA logo-emblem design, my favorite is still with the colorful older version depicting the US flag, VAB/LCC, shuttle, and palm trees. The same basic background of the prior logo design had been used for several different KSC security and fire services patch productions that my firm had produced. But of course, the shuttle launch vehicle configuration can no longer be used with the closure of the shuttle program in 2011, thus, a needed change had to be made. |

A nice design. Executed as a woven patch, not embroidered! Will this be available anywhere soon? |

I believe the patch (and pin) are currently only available through Kennedy Space Center's employee exchange store. |
