I called today to update my order. They stated that they were going to be contacting those of us on the list starting tomorrow. I was told that they do not have the Shuttle Carriers of America patches in at this time, only the SCA Final Flights and the Final Mission Patch. |

I finally called Monday afternoon to place my order. The lady explained that they were quite busy, and asked if I would email my order. She gave me the address, told me what to include in the email, and said she would call me for payment information as soon as the order was ready to ship.I haven't had a call back yet, but assuming they're calling in the order the requests were received, I'm on the bottom of the pile. |

Not necessarily. I talked to Michelle again today because I didn't get the call she said I should get yesterday. So I called to get an update. They (she) has put all the orders together in the appropriate envelopes and boxes and will be doing a mass email tomorrow to all those on the waiting list. You will then need to contact her for payment according to the instructions in the email. So, have patience for one more day. They were inundated with over 100 orders In a small office. I believe she's doing the level best she can. So when you call, thank her (Michelle), Jim and Linda for doing all they've done for us as collectors!

Two updates. Just received the email from Jim. 'Nuff said there. Second, "Michelle" is incorrect. Her name is Cheryl. My apologies. Misheard her on the phone. I hate getting old! |

Done! They are going out in the mail later today if you called. The staff at DFRC has been great to us, so be sure to thank them for all that they have done for us collectors. I know that they have been swamped by calls from us and it was great for them to put us on a list and pre-package our orders prior to payment. Hats off to the staff at DFRC! |

Amen, Brother! My two sets are going out today and I should have them in my hands Friday. I was put on the waiting list on April 10th. So these patches are a long time coming. Thanks goes out to the great staff at DFRC! |

I want to echo J Blackburn, the staff at DFRC was fantastic. My order was already all set for me when I called, they packed it up while I was on the phone. Then they said it would go out today.Thank you to everyone on this site for letting us know about these patches and for the info on DFRC. |

Finally decided to sign up the board after lurking for months. Anyway, I called and got on the list for these back in April, but have not heard anything yet. So, I guess I will call and find out if I got dropped from the list or what happened. |

I just got off the phone after ordering my patches. I had received two emails yesterday with a contact number and the extended hours of the gift shop (7-4 Pacific time today). The staff is very courteous and helpful. I had given my name and address to them back on April 13th, and they had the info ready today when I called. Priority Mail this afternoon — now that's service! |

Just received mine. They look great, and I can only add to the kudos for the Dryden gift shop staff.Incidentally, the staffer I spoke with (Cheryl, I think) told me that the shop is expecting a re-stock of the Shuttle Carriers of America patch, and those who requested them will be notifed when they arrive. |

I received my patches today and they are great. It was well worth the wait. The staff at the Dryden gift shop were outstanding and friendly especially James Sokolik who is the Operations Manager. Thanks for your outstanding help. |

Kudos to the staff at Dryden. Got my order squared away today so it will ship Tuesday. All during the process, I was adding more sets to my original order as I was ordering for several people across the pond as well as for myself. They handled it flawlessly and I am looking forward to getting my package.I think I ordered a couple of extra sets, so if you live in GB or Europe and would like one, let me know. I am selling them for actual cost, not trying to make money, just trying to help other collectors out who do not have access to the patches. Dryden does not ship overseas. |

Kudos to you for what you are willing to do and not make a profit on those overseas at this time! |

I know from the very first post that Tony Landis designed the patch. Does anyone know who made them? |

I received mine on Tuesday, and they are beautiful. But, make me kind of sad that these are the last shuttle patches we may ever get... |

Are there colour variations on the Enterprise patch? See the version originally posted by Robert and this one on eBay #221035173636, its not the best scan but the eBay patch has grey on the wings and engines of the carrier aircraft and not blue. |

Earlier in this topic, Tony Landis (X-Plane Fan) wrote: For those that keep track of the minor variations in patches, you should know that the Enterprise patch will now have gray thread in the 747 wing instead of blue and the Endeavour patch will be 1/2 inch larger. No change to the Discovery one. |

I received my three patches today — it took them a long time to pass the German customs...These patches are beautiful! My favourite is the one for the Enterprise, because it is based on the design of the A&L Tests Patch. Endeavour does a fine sunset flight and the one for Discovery looks great too, but Discovery is flying in the wrong direction (looks like flying from the tower of the Smithsonian back to the VAB at KSC). |

The building on Discovery's patch is not the Vehicle Assembly Building; rather it's the National Air and Space Museum on the National Mall. |

Here is a little framed display made for my Museum flight patches. I will change out one of the NYC-Enterprise photos when the Endeavour flight happens. |

Just to be perfectly clear, am I correct in thinking that the SCA pilots will not be wearing these patches on their flight suits during the delivery trips? The patch they will be wearing is the "Final Mission" patch? |

For Discovery's and Enterprise's delivery, the crew didn't wear any commemorative patches on their flight suits. They did however, fly examples of these and the "Final Mission" patch aboard the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft. What they will wear for Endeavour's delivery this September is still to be seen. |

Just a message to say thanks to fredtrav for helping these patches make it to Scotland. It was very kind of him to purchase these patches and ship them to me, at no profit to himself. Hats off from me. |

I would also like to add my thanks to Fred (fredtrav) for selflessly purchasing and shipping the patches to both myself and others outside of the US. Mine arrived in tip-top condition and I look forward to displaying them somehow in the future. It is always good to see that there are some people who don't see a money making opportunity in every deed.It is sad that these patches are commemorating the time when the individual shuttles are delivered to museums. Clearly they cannot continue to work forever: that's progress, I guess. |
