The Gemini 12 replica matches the original artwork more closely than the crew patch. In most cases the colours and weave direction are spot on. However with Gemini 11 the blue background is a little too dark but otherwise is a perfect remake.

The attention to detail is amazing like the Gemini 5 - covered wagon with its hidden text or the Gemini 8 with the inward-bowed verticals for the "II" Gemini symbol.

A question for those already displaying or planning to: Many here on cS have used the GT-3 Molly Brown and GT-4 McDivitt-approved patches as part of their displays. But shouldn't an American flag of the style used on Gemini suits also be put up, as the Gemini 4 crew stated that would be their crew patch?

All the above patches were sold mounted onto a black information card and sealed with a second information card in a cellophane packet.

For the Gemini 8 patch the second card had the wrong launch date of December 4, 1965. A corrected card with March 16, 1966 was produced and included separately, loose from the sealed packet for some of the early first production run packets. Later the December 1965 cards were removed and replaced with the March 1966 cards.

In part of the description for the Gemini 6 through to Gemini 12 patches the AB Emblem website says;

"This series is not currently being manufactured and will be unavailable once existing stock is depleted."

This part of the description has remained unchanged since around 2012 or 2013.

A few of the second and in some cases third and fourth production run patches are still available in small numbers to buy from the AB Emblem website, (except Gemini 10 which sold out in October 2019), and Gemini 5 (just a hand full of the originals are left to be sold in the packaged set of now ten patches).

One other notable AB Emblem reproduction which deserves a mention here is the earlier Gemini 3 patch produced privately in 2008 and 2009 by crew member John Young, it is;

Note; Only the 3.5" revised Gemini Program patch is currently available to buy from the AB Emblem website at this time. The other revised Gemini 5 through to Gemini 12 patches are only available from a very few of AB Emblem's agents and retailers. (Only three found so far, two in the United Kingdom and one in Texas).

AB Emblem has produced a photo poster of the 11 Gene Dorr Gemini patches. This poster can be seen on the Skyforce Space Patches and The Space Store websites. The 11 patches all have their original old SKU patch design numbers beneath them. Only the Gemini 3 and Gemini 4 patches have the new revised SKU numbers starting with 298 - - - on the poster unfortunately.

Update: 16th September 2020: Confirmation of some Gene Dorr Gemini patches available on JSC sales cards from retailer Space Traders, JSC, Texas.

Update: 20th November 2020; It has been reported to me that three new production runs have been made for the following Gemini patches in June 2020. But using the old SKU numbers, instead of the new SKU numbers starting 2984**. The Gemini 6 patch is now smaller than the original Gene Dorr patch. The Gemini 7 and 8 patches are the same size as the previous ones with SKU numbers starting with 2984**.

I have included the newer Gemini 3 and Gemini 4 patches which were not part of the original four production runs made in September and December 2010, and May and June 2011.

All the Gemini patches listed below have the new style embedded labels on with the "crown" emblem logo. Also most are Made In China (unless indicated USA).

The size trials for Gemini 5 through to Gemini 12 started in October 2018 with the new SKU numbers starting with 2984**. All the Gemini patches should of been produced from that date. But the Gemini 7, 9, 10 and 11 patches have not as yet been found or reported.

From October 2019 the SKU patch design numbers started to be reverted back from starting with 2984** (the new ones), to the original SKU starting with 14****, (except for the Gemini Program, Gemini 3 and Gemini 4 patches).
