Maybe it's just me, but there's something about the artwork in this patch that made me think of Robert McCall's work. |

Good eye, the way the Sun and Earth are drawn are very much like McCall's work. Could Barrett have asked McCall to design this patch? |

Maybe it is just the fact that the patch is hand drawn, like McCall's work. This really stands out against all the usual clean computer art seen nowadays. Also, the colors are very much like STS-71. It almost looks like 71 was used as the example. |

Because it is Robert McCall's art.According to McCall's daughter Catherine, who I heard from this evening, Barbara Barrett is a friend of the family and asked that McCall design her a patch. Congratulations on having such a sharp eye toward McCall's style... |
