Here is the JAXA patch. It differs in a couple of places from the logo art, but this is the official issue.

There is also an embroidered design for the H-II transfer vehicle on this image. Does anyone have any background knowledge on the design?

It is written HTV on the patch and not HTV-1 like on the design. Is this patch an original for the first HTV mission?

"Kounotori" translates to "white stork" (it is the same name given to all HTVs).

My very good friend from Tokyo managed to find these HTV patches for me. It is harder and harder to find patches. Pins are easier to get.
