I am new to this forum and I love it. I am also new to these concept patch designs. Here is my first attempt.

Pretty impressive and welcome to cS! I'd say you have an excellent chance of flying some art someday.

You might describe what the design elements mean to you. It's a good idea to provide context.

FANTASTIC! The four designs looks great! I agree with Tim. You will see one of your artworks flying to space some day. I like them TOO MUCH, really.

Wow, thanks guys. That is really exciting especially coming from you two guys. Also I wanna thank whoever it was that emailed me to tell me to add the 4th solar array.

Here is the short description of the designs. Since I am new at this I probably didn't put as much meaning into it as I need to so any advice would be appreciated. The six stars near the shuttle represent the six crew members. The four point stars represent the three crew members Navy Capt. Barry Wilmore, Robert Satcher, and Marine Lt. Col. Randy Bresnik who are making their first trips to space. The eight point stars represent the other crew members who have already been in space. The Canadian leaf represents Canadian Space Agency Astronaut Robert Thirsk who the crew will bring back to Earth. Other than that, the two stars by the Astronaut logo are for Challenger and Columbia. Other than that I just tried to make it look good. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

After looking at it a bit more I might suggest that the names should stand out more. The slightly contrasting blues look cool but I'm not sure how they'd look embroidered. What about changing the names to gold?

I agree, the top left design is great, but I would have the names in gold to match the "STS 129". Good luck to you!

How many colors of thread you are planning to use in the embroidered version?

Like a million colors is what it looks like. I have actually been knocking out a lot of the shades of gray and blue for that very reason. The effect is the same but doesn't looks as good but it still is okay.

These aren't necessarily patch ideas just some logo type things I did so I am not sure if this thread is where they belong.

UPDATE.... I know this one probably wouldn't be used, but I sure liked this idea I had for STS-133 (without the names)!

...this would have been the ideal patch for the final shuttle mission. Why didn't you participate on the final patch contest? Do you have a digital artwork? I would like to embroider the patch.

...yeah... so if you have a digital artwork, probably we can deal something out!
