It looks like they made their public debut at the JFK Rice University speech anniversary celebration last week, according to this Reddit post.

A lot of extra weight to carry to the surface and back into lunar orbit with that useless aerodynamic nose cone. What kind of ladder will be needed to reach the surface? And how would a pilot be able to land a big stick like that in the event that automatic systems fail?

These questions are probably better posed under the discussion topic for the Starship HLS, but with regards to crew access to the surface, it will be by elevator (as currently being tested).
