My first model diorama of this year: an Apollo 15 Bulova watch/diorama box. I am happy with the end result. This one is for to keep the two versions Bulova moon watches.

The LRV 3D printing files are from designer Vincent Meens and the astronaut is from Max Grüter.

(For earlier models, please see: Pascal Hecker's space models (2010-2021).)

My last model is done, this time a rare kit model kit of the Soviet Luna 16 moon probe.

This first robotic probe to land on the Moon and return a sample of lunar soil to Earth with 101 grams sample moon soil on mission duration 12 days in year 1970.

Scale 1:16 and kit from Soviet brand AMC. They stop now produce this kit related the war with Ukraine.

WOW, impressive! What are those extended poles/antennas for? Were they in that position during the EVA?

I believe not, but I try to show all elements of that time frame of the mission. The launch of the sub satellite was also not under the EVA.

My next real space diorama, theme 1/4 Apollo 15 astronaut Al Worden ready going out for an EVA walk to pick up film cassettes.

Hatch design from Smithsonian is fully printed in resin parts and PLA. Astronaut design is by Max Grüter and film cassette roll is design by Vincent Meens and hatch list and tv cam as well. And thanks to Ed Hengeveld for info over the tv cam.

This diorama can be placed flat on the dessior or upright in supports stands and can be hung on the wall. Still busy with a 1/2 version, but that come later.

I finished the 1/2.5 Apollo hatch after many hours. Lots of printing parts; PLA and resin parts. I had real glass cut for the window section. I am satisfied with it and now understand the construction in terms of parts well after two scale versions.

On the inside of the round window I stuck a transparent printed sheet with the ascent LM section on the way back to the CM for docking. It looks great with a lamp behind it.

These models I build the last few weeks for some people. All 3D printing.

First one 1/32 Gemini 9A mission EVA theme.

The second one is 1/32 Gemini spacecraft theme splashdown.

And the last 1/12 Artemis RS-25 rocket engine theme factory upbuild version with workers.

I have finished the first model of this year, Alan Shepard theme with a MET "the rickshaw" scale 1/8 with scale 1/3.

I am still working on the 3D design of the MET. "The rickshaw" is by Michael Key and the 3D design astronaut belongs to Max Gruter. Thanks to both of them for beautiful design work...

Another superb lunar diorama, great work with a very nice detailed scale model of Apollo 14 Commander Alan Shepard (the man who played Golf on the Moon)!

Complete this week, a 3D printing Saturn 1B 1/48. Lot of printing and painting, etc., but I was happy with it. With special thanks to Michael Key for to upgrade section parts.

I am still busy with a 1/32 version but I need better weather for spray work.

Thanks Fred!!

But I have 1/24 Apollo 17 CM splashdown diorama done for someone. I am happy with it, a small addition had to be made by adding a seagull floating next to it, watching the activities. The CM parts are from Vincent Meens' design.
