What a deal at Amazon! I paid about the same from Japan but the shipping was a lot more! Grab the Apollo 13 Saturn V while you can. It is awesome! |

When ordering these from Japan, are we in the US charged any customs fees or import duties? |

Longtime lurker her at the forum and now proud owner of the Bandai Apollo 13. What a tremendous specimen. Michael Key's MLP/LUT combo is the missing linkā¦must PM him immediately!Anyway, wonderful board Robert, and here's hoping Bandai will continue producing amazing launch vehicles. |

I went to buy this on Amazon about an hour after the last post and it was back to 469. It's back down to $365 again so I finally have purchased. They've sold 4 in the last 5 minutes so get them while they last at this price. |

The price keeps fluctuating. I had checked 15 minutes after the original post and it was back up to $465. Now at $465 again. |

I don't get the pricing on Amazon... It has been all over the place the past few days on this model. I am just glad to get it for the $364.35 and free shipping. Hopefully my notice helped someone else catch one. |

I have the 13 (horizontal separated display) and the first release 11 (vertical stacked display). |

That is what I was thinking. Having it stacked loses much of the details. At least that is what I am going to tell my wife... |

I bought both because I got each at a really great price. I think I'm doing one horizontal and one vertical. Now hoping they redo the shuttle, if my wallet can heal from these two purchases.

Well, it wasn't "two for twice the price" as Robert joked earlier in this thread, but... prices on this model having settled in a range I could talk myself into (it wasn't difficult because I'm a weak, weak person), I finally pulled the trigger.JPY 37,890 (US$372.95) shipped from AmiAmi. There are a few on offer slightly cheaper on Amazon & Ebay, but I bought my other Bandai models from AmiAmi and was very satisfied with transit time, packing, and handling. Plan is to display this one horizontally with stages separated. |

I ordered the Apollo 11 model from Hobbylink Japan last Friday and it arrived today (Tuesday). Now that's fast. I used the EMS shipping option and it worked well.Hobbylink shipped it in an oversized box without the outer box with the product name and without packing material. When I ordered the Apollo 13 model from AmiAmi it was shipped with the outer box and packing material completely around the inner box. I thought that was the way Hobbylink Japan would ship it. |

Well, despite the fact that I said I wasn't going to get one, that was too good of a price to resist. Now to figure out where to put it.... |

Almost tempted to buy another at that price. I wonder what they'll be going for on eBay this time next year? |

Geez, they had to lower the price!! Now I have two... one displayed with Michael's wonderful accessories, one on its way. If only I can find 40x12x12 inches of horizontal space. |

I remember two years ago when it was just the Apollo 11 model, prices were up to $1000. Now you can have it for less than $300. |

Now that the second production run is complete, and the market may have reached critical mass, the value of the Apollo 11 and Apollo 13 sets will begin their climb in price once again. It would be very cool to see a J Mission set (Apollo 15, 16, or 17) from Bandai in the future. Only time will tell. |

How such model would be different from the Apollo 11 and 13 ones? |

I would guess the inclusion of a Lunar Rover, an additional Service Module (and hopefully a Command Module to go with it) with a SIM bay, and maybe a LM with the Quad 1 compartment open from the rover being deployed. The rocket itself, no real difference.

Then they should drop the rocket and go with the LM, CM and rover at a larger scale (1:48). |

There would be no Ullage Motors on the S-1C/S-2 interstage. I know the insulation changed on the S-2 as well, but not sure when that happened. I don't know if there were other differences. |
