I tried to have this finished for his anniversary achievement. This is the man, and event that inspired me to do what I do today. He made me want to be an astronaut, unfortunately, I'm afraid of heights!

I have often wondered what or what was the purpose of the black bag on the umbilical cord |

I believe it was the stowage pouch for the umbilical. |

The best I've seen of that model yet. Your attention to detail like painting the Gemini 4 in the visor is excellent. Will you be offering this one for sale as well? |

Thats a great model of a overlooked subject. EVA suits and proceedures have evolved quite a bit since White's walk but the danger has not. Very risky stuff back then, these guys had guts. Excellent work on the visor, really nice piece. |

Great job on the visor reflection. I guess others have said that already, but just had to add to the list! |

Thank you all. It means so much to know that what I'm doing, may be worthwhile. They were brave men, explorers, all of them, modern day Lewis and Clarks. The visor created it's own challenges, three attempts, over two days. It's okay, but I would have liked better. |

I noticed that Ed White carried a camera. Did he take pictures of the Gemini craft with McDivitt?I think I have never seen one... |

I also have searched NASA files for the photos taken by the carmera on top of Ed White's maneuvering gun. But so far I've come up empty handed. |

There is one photograph that was taken by Ed White that appears from time-to-time. The photo is from the front of the Gemini spacecraft and shows the 'nose' area (actually the recovery section) and McDivitt's window (although you can't see McDivitt). There was a crew-signed photo on Astro-Auction earlier this month and the photo that was signed is this photo. |

Great model Steve - many congratulations. If you ever decide to sell it, do please let me know.I am fortunate enough to have one of the original nozzles from Ed White's space manouevring gun so it'd be a great addition to my collection. |
