From StarShipModeler.com via Karl Tate:
Connecticut Valley Insignia (CVI) is known primarily for their 1/6th scale WW2 insignia. But the real fuel behind their offerings in not a specific era, but specific passions. Those passions have led them to create a 1/6th Apollo patch and instruction label set for use with Dragon's recent 12-inch "Buck" and "Buzz Aldrin" Apollo astronaut figures. This sheet provides marking for all the moon-walking (and "would-be moon-walking", in the case of Apollo 13) astronauts on the missions using the AL-7 suit design.

This printed fabric set includes mission patches, NASA meatballs, name tapes, OPS labels, PLSS labels, and RCU labels. Sufficient markings are provided to outfit two figures from any of the Apollo 11 thru 14 missions, thus you can choose to create an "all-new" figure or you can just improve the stock Apollo 11offerings. The set comes with detailed marking placement instructions, application directions, and notes on basic accurizing of Dragon's figure.

The set is expected to ship sometime in January and will retail for $12.95 USD ($20.08 CAN/12.61 EUR ). All CVI products are sold through The Toy Cellar.

That's cool! They even got the red CDR labels!

Another bit of money frittered away soon I think!

Where are the commander strips that go on the legs, arms and helmet for 13 and 14?

Received my set of extra patches today for my "Buck" and thought I'd post a copy of the paperwork that comes with them.

It explains why the red CDR stripes weren't included as part of the set, and shows these guys have really done there homework!

I realize this is a very old thread, but does anyone happen to have a copy of the paperwork for either the Connecticut Valley Insignia set or the Apollo 14 mods?

Thanks.

The CVI NASA insignia set is still available through Monkey Depot. I'm not aware of any other accessories for the Dragon figure, other than the ones that come with the astronaut.

EVA Models made the Apollo 14 conversion kit. When I ordered that kit, he also told me he made a set of tools, a hammer, scoops etc. Unfortunately, Chris passed away some time ago. He made some fantastic kits and was a joy to talk to when placing orders.

Thanks. I didn't know EVA Models made the tool set, so that's helpful to know in the sense to stop looking. Thanks also for the tip on Monkey Depot - I knew I had seen it somewhere but couldn't remember the name of the shop.

I picked up the patches set as well as the Al Shepard update set way back when they were first released.

I used some of the patches to update the original Dragon Apollo astronaut "Buck" release to "Neil Armstrong" status. I have yet to build the Shepard one. I should really get that project going.

Here are three of the figures in my collection. One is Buzz, the other is Neil and I customized one suit to look like Mike's suit.

Nice job creating the 1/6 Apollo 11 astronaut set.

It would have been very cool if Dragon had produced a limited edition set just like the one you created.
