From the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI):
What's the number one thing that NASA astronaut Suni Williams missed during her 9-month stint in outer space? Well, in addition to her family and a fresh salad — it was her dogs, Rotor and Gunner!

As a longtime WHOI Corporation member (and sister of one of our Communications staff), Suni is part of the WHOI family. To make her time aboard the International Space Station a little more homey, we had the whizzes at WHOI AVAST 3D-print these models of her dogs!

After creating the 3D models from photos, WHOI Creative put on the finishing touches with paint – and the model dogs were sent on a supply shipment to ISS just in time for Christmas!

All times are CT (US)
