I am looking for the specifications of the communications carrier cap (CCA or "Snoopy cap") used during the Apollo missions. I only found the following documents: - Final Report Headset Assemblies Contract NAS 9-5155 (1966). In this document the CCA looks more like a prototype:
- Communications Carrier Assembly (Model A-3C) Final Report, NASA Contract NAS 9-7976 where we learn that changes have taken place on the skull cap.
- Final Report Skylab Communications Carrier 16536G and Filter Bypass Adapter Assembly 12535G Date: 4 March 1974.
I would like to know if the noise suppression technology is the same as on the lightweight heads microphone described on the Apollo 12 mission report (14-40). I would like to know its weight, its technology and more. Thank you in advance. | |
