Does anyone know what it is made of? Or anything else interesting about these S-IVB valves? Scott (SpaceAholic), any background you may have would be interesting to hear!
SpaceAholic Member Posts: 5111 From: Sierra Vista, Arizona Registered: Nov 1999	posted 07-16-2022 08:49 PM Valve was part of the system responsible for (helium) purging the J-2 following engine shutdown and prior to restart. Photo indicates its mounted location on the thrust structure assembly (proximal to the J-2 gimbal bearing).
