I'm hoping someone can help me find out if my LiOH canister is a space flown item. It was not sold to me as a flown item but the seller, unlike other canisters he had sold, did not know the full history of this one.

As it has its original registration plate complete with serial number I thought perhaps NASA has its history on file. Have tried to contact someone there but having no luck. Can anyone help with this?

This is one that I had originally acquired from the Charles Bell estate in 2001. It is not flown. You can read more about this type of LiOH canister here.

Ahh John, good to speak again. I'll take that as a definite not flown conformation.

Been going through our original emails since your reply and found the source of my confusion.

This unit was unusually not stamped GROUND TEST ONLY and from that and the passing of time, a seed of possible flown status grew.

I'm thinking of selling the unit and just wanted to make sure.

All times are CT (US)
