I understand that documented sample bags of several different configurations were used on the Apollo missions, with two basic shapes in use, cup-shaped and flat rectangular. The cup-shaped bags came in sets of approximately 35 (used on the Apollo 12 and Apollo 14 missions) and 48 (used on the Apollo 15, 16 and 17 'J' missions).I have an unflown training used 'flat rectangular' example that was consigned by a technician at KSC. Have any flown (but presumably unused!) examples ever been sold? Would really appreciate any comments or additional information that you may have on this item. Thanks. | |
