The 1994 5-crown Turks & Caicos "25th Anniversary 1st Lunar Landing" commemorative coin was the first legal tender coin recognizing coin collecting, with the ANA logo and the wording, "ANA Salute to Coin Collecting" on it.Well, along with the Wah Chang (Great Western Mint) 25th Anniversary of Apollo XI niobium coin, and the 12 troy ounce silver America in Space (Young Astronauts) commemorative from 1988 (with the serial no. of 720, which is cool, when you think of it as 7/20, or 20 July, the date Neil Armstrong first set foot on the Moon - at least from EDT and westward), the 0.10 oz platinum coin rounds out my (current) collection of mostly Apollo 11-themed coins (or ones related to events around 20 July — like the Martin Marietta Viking 1 medallion), which most folks probably don't care to collect. Subjective, I know...
Are there any other commemoratives out there which may not be worth much (to others) to collect (or, I guess, they may possibly be unpopular), or might not be rare (or talked about much), yet are interesting collectibles recognizing the Apollo 11 mission (or other events around 20 July)? Just curious what others are aware of.
Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide!
