Moonpans' website indicates that 2500 Apollo 13 medallions were produced. These Apollo 13 medallions are the latest in the series of Moonpans medallions containing flown to the moon metal. They measure 1.75 inch diameter and contain metal that flew to the moon onboard the Apollo 13 spacecraft. The source for the flown metal that is minted into the medallions, comes from the rings that bound an Apollo 13 flown checklist. The medallions were minted exclusively for Moonpans by space medallion specialists, Winco International. The total number minted is 2500. Similar medallions were made for Apollo 12 and Apollo 17.![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/moonpans_apollo_12_medallion01.jpg) ![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/moonpans_apollo_17_medallion01.jpg)
Anyone know if the same amount were produced for those missions as well? Are there any plans to commemorate Apollos 11, 14, 15 and 16? |

Tom, the number of Apollo 12 and 17 medallions minted was 2000.We do hope to produce more medallions for the other missions once we have found suitable flown metal. |

I got the Apollo 17 medallion in (along with the Apollo 12 and 13 medallions) last week from Moonpans. They included a nice acrylic stand with each medallion. |

Moonpans' Apollo 15 medallion is now available: The medallions measures 1.75 inch diameter and contain metal that spent 3 days in Lunar Orbit inside Apollo 15 Command Module, Endeavour. The front depicts the Apollo 15 Emblem in a beautiful three dimensional render, with the rear showing Dave Scott returning from the First Lunar Rover used on the Moon close to Hadley Rille at Station 10.Both sides are rendered in 3D with a black enamel ring behind the text.Limited edition of 2,500 pieces. ![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/moonpans_apollo_15_medallion01.jpg) |

Ordered mine right away. For my money, the Moonpans Medallions are the best I've seen. I like that the logo is big and in 3D. Plus the bronze-esque finish with the black enamel ring is just great. I had thought about getting the Apollo 40th anniversary medallion set at one point. I'm so glad I held off and decided on the Moonpans instead. Great job, Mike! |

A few years ago, Winco International released four medallions that contained flown material that flew on Apollo 12, 13, 15 and 17 respectively. Is there a reason why coins were never released representing Apollo 11, 14 and 16? Thank you very much.Editor's note: Threads merged. |

He didn't mention Apollo 8 and 10, just that Apollo 11 was being released next and that Apollo 14 and 16 would follow as soon as possible.

I should have said, are there any plans for an Apollo 8 or Apollo 10 medal? |

As all of our medallions contain metal from their respective missions (not just flown metal from any Apollo mission) it means any new medallions are dependent on finding suitable metal from that mission, so as yet we are still looking for flown metal from Apollo 14 and 16. |

Yes we do hope to make Apollo 8 medallions one day, depending on finding suitable flown metal from Apollo 8. |
