It appears to be maybe gold plated as it has not tarnished. Size is about 1.25" The front shows a profile image of the astronaut and reads "JOHN YOUNG AWARD" above and "ORLANDO 1965 FLORIDA" below. Obverse says: Presented to JOHN YOUNG by the citizens of Orlando, Florida for Outstanding Achievement, Two-man Gemini Space Flight, March 23, 1965.
