I see a lot of posts here from people who ask how to post images, usually with replies from those who know. Apologies if this info is on the site elsewhere, but could you explain just HOW to add images to a posting? |

First, a couple of guidelines: - Ensure you own the rights to the image you want to post. You may only post photos that belong to you or that you have received written permission from the owner to reprint.
- Before uploading, please open the image in your favorite photo editing software and resize the image (if necessary) to be 400 pixels or less wide. (If you are familiar with HTML, you can link from the 400-pixel-wide version to the full size image.)
There are several options for adding images: - If you are familiar with HTML, you can use the <img src> tag after hosting your photos on a publicly-accessible web server (e.g. Flickr, imgur).
- If you are not familiar with HTML but can host your photos on a publicly-accessible web server, you can use UBB code.
- Upload the image to a photo hosting service or web server.
- Copy the web address (URL) for that image. This address will begin with "http" and end with the name of your file and a file extension, i.e. .jpg, .gif, etc.
- Paste (or type in) the address that points to your image into your post where you want the image to appear.
- At the beginning of the address (i.e. http) type: [IMG] (including the brackets), such that it appears: [IMG]http
- At the end of the address (i.e. picturename.jpg) type: [/IMG] (including the brackets), such that it appears: picturename.jpg[/IMG]
Some photo hosting services will append the to the address such that you do not need to do it again. - If you are not comfortable with (1) or (2) and/or cannot host your photos on a publicly-accessible web server, e-mail them to contact@collectSPACE.com and they will be posted for you...
