Recovery Ship LORAN Light Cover Mission: Apollo 11 Apollo 12   Crew: RADM Carl Seiberlich, USN Comment: The USS Hornet recovered Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 Seven LORAN (Long Range Aid to Navigation) receivers were used aboard the U.S.S. Hornet's navigation bridge to find the Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 recovery sites. This light cover is from one of them.
