I'm looking for suggestions for memoirs from NASA flight directors or controllers of which I may not be familiar.I know Chris Kraft's "Flight," Gene Kranz's "Failure is Not an Option," and Sy Liebergot's "Apollo EECOM." Any others that you might recommend (or even any others that exist)? |

An addition to your list is the recent book "From The Trench of Mission Control to the Craters of the Moon."More reading, just haven't read it myself yet... |

I liked Below Tranquility Base. Richard Stachurski is an Air Force officer who was not an engineer and found himself working as a network controller. |

You can't beat Murray and Cox's "Apollo: The Race to the Moon." By far one of the very best. One disappointing example for me was John Llewellyn's "From The Trenches of Korea to the Trench in Mission Control." It was more of a pamphlet than a book. After reading of his exploits in Apollo, I guess I got my hopes up a little too high. |

Add Glynn Lunney's self-published memoir Highways into Space. Haven't read it so I'll leave it to others to review. |

I am reading "Go, Flight! The Unsung Heroes of Mission Control, 1965-1992" at the moment, with Sy Liebergot's book next. Has John Aaron written a book and if so what's it called? I don't seem to be able to find any info. Also any other worthy reads from the MOCR that you guys know of please let me know. Editor's note: Threads merged. |

John Aaron has not written a book, although if and when he does, it would be a fascinating read for obvious reasons.Add to the memoirs already mentioned here, Jerry Bostick's self-published title "The Kid From Golden." |

I'm going to the Flight Jacket Night at the National Air and Space Museum in DC for the Gene Kranz lecture, but was wondering which book of his is the best? I'd get one not only to be ready, but to get it autographed. Thanks! |

While Kranz is certainly mentioned in other books, I believe he only has one title of his own: "Failure is Not an Option." |

Thanks Robert for the recommendation! I've seen the reviews (I know I'm probably the only one who hasn't read it) and looks like a good one! |
