Fellow Montrealer and McGill U. neurology professor Philippe Séguéla has published a book titled "Histoire visuelle des sondes spatiales": a visual history of space probes. As Canadian astronaut Marc Garneau puts it in his preface, this book "doesn't only cover scientific discoveries made possible by planetary exploration, but also reveals the arduous and exhilarating efforts to build the rockets and spacecraft permitting these discoveries".The essay is a thick 376 pages, in French. Fides is the editor. Not yet offered by Amazon; I'll keep you posted. For now, it is at least available here. ------------------ Francois Guay Collector of litterature, notebooks, equipment and memories! | |
