Editor's note: Astronaut Mark Kelly (STS-108, 121, 124, 134) did not go on a formal tour for his books Mousetronaut and Mousetronaut Goes to Mars but he has and continues to participate in a sporadic book signings.

This topic shares the events and opportunities to obtain autographed copies.

On Wednesday morning (Nov. 14, 2012), I attended a storytelling by shuttle commander Mark Kelly to 60 preschoolers at the National Air and Space Museum. Kelly read his new book, Mousetronaut, to the children who were seated on a carpet in front of the Hubble Telescope display.

After the reading Kelly answered the children's questions. Later, Kelly signed copies of his latest book in front of the museum gift shop.

With thanks to Francis French, Barnes & Noble will hold a two day Black Friday Weekend sale (November 2014) at its stores (stores only, not online) of author-autographed books.

Among the titles is Mark Kelly's original "Mousetronaut."

It is not clear if all the books will be available at all the stores, or if they will be randomly spread across the country, but it might be worth checking your local B&N.

I picked up one of these. His signature looks rather quick (as they most likely signed hundreds, thousands of these) but it comes with a little sticker on the cover from Barnes and Noble that says it it signed.

Anyone else pick up Moustronaut?
