The STS-131 crew portrait: Download high resolution. Attired in training versions of their shuttle launch and entry suits, these seven astronauts take a break from training to pose for the STS-131 crew portrait. Seated are NASA astronauts Alan Poindexter (right), commander; and James P. Dutton Jr., pilot. Pictured from the left (standing) are NASA astronauts Rick Mastracchio, Stephanie Wilson, Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Naoko Yamazaki and NASA astronaut Clayton Anderson, all mission specialists.

I think the poster would look better if they wore the shades they had in the Exp. 16 poster (the Matrix-themed one). It looks nice though! |

It was recently pointed out to me that the STS-131 crew poster was based on the movie poster for "Armageddon." Credit: Touchstone |

Does any one else see a silhouette of a famous mouse in the first picture? Of course an active mind will make patterns out of random objects like clouds and stars, but the ratio looks close to me. |

It certainly looks like a photo from a bad sci-fi movie, and speaking of Armageddon... |

I have to get myself a copy of this poster. So, does that mean Clay would be "Rockhound" in the film? The movie is still a guilty pleasure for me as I love to pop it in and crank it just for the shuttle night launch footage. |

Glad I'm not the only one for the launch stuff. |
