I know that Burbank is USGC and Maclean isn't Navy (but he described himself as a decendant of ship builders)at their press conference last week so my question is...Is the STS-115 crew the first all Navy crew since STS-1? Tim |

Navy is Navy and Coast Guard is Coast Guard.Even though the Marines are part of the Navy department, try telling a Marine he's part of the Navy. Just that simple fact alone negates the all Navy crew. Crippen was regular Navy and Young was regular Navy. That's an all Navy crew. |

ejectr-Point very well taken. But they identified themselves as "all Navy" at their press conference. Dan didn't interupt to clarify the point of difference between CG and Navy. I was just trying to find out when the last time a crew consisted of members from same service. Tim |
