Just found this rather sad news over at Lunar Legacies: quote: Lunar Legacies, R.I.P. (for now) Hello all. About three months ago I started a new business and my present work schedule is now 7am to 12 midnight, seven days a week, leaving little or no time for my Lunar Legacies website. It looks like my work schedule will remain this way for at least the near future. It distresses me that I am constantly two to three weeks behind on emails adding boundless stress to me and consternation to many of my great and wonderful customers. Having really no other choice, I have therefore decided to disable the links to my site and shut it down - something I am going to hate to have to do. This is not going to be a permanent thing for sure, because I do still love the hobby and will continue to collect. Lunar Legacies will be back at some point whether it be one month from now, six months or a year - I just don't know when my schedule will allow me to devote the time to Lunar Legacies that it deserves. We are diligently pursuing help, so I may be back sooner than than later. So sometime this week, I will answer all emails presently awaiting a response, I will return all consignment items to their respective consigners and settle up any outstanding balances, and will reluctantly make Lunar Legacies a ghost. Thank you all so much for your loyal support, your patience and understanding, and the most rewarding seven years of my life.Donnis
I've personally bought many great things from Donnis over the last few years and will be very sorry to see Lunar Legacies taken off-line. I wish him best of luck with his new venture.Cheers, Matt ------------------ www.spaceracemuseum.com |

Ditto your remarks Matt, without Donnis's website and his help my collection would not be half what it is today. I have bought MANY items from the site and look forward to the day when I can again. Many thanks Donnis, we await "The Return" Adam Bootle |

I bought stuff from Lunar Legacies around 6 years ago... it was great... all the items are usually reasonably priced.Hopefully this is just temporarily. Maybe he can get someone to run his website part time... so that at least he can generate some income from his website. I trust that nobody who loves this hobby can stay away from it for a long time... trust me... I KNOW. |

Donnis is one of the senior faculty for this hobby so I'll regret losing Lunar Legacies as a teaching and collecting resource. Let's hope it returns soon. |

I read about the passing of Lunar Legacies with more than a little sorrow. Donnis Willis is always a gentleman and sells only quality items at great prices. I hope his absence is short and that he is able to return. I have been fortunate to obtain more than my fair share of great items via his website and I hope his return is imminent! Donald Brady Jr. |

Donnis has been inspirational in posting and sharing his top collectibles with us and has been a very fair and honest person that I would buy from at anytime. I really wish Donnis well in his new venture, and hope like many of us he will be back online when and if time permits (sobbing quietly over my coffee).I hope someone will send him a compiled thread to remind him of all his collector friends out there. Does archive.org record his site? Even if only for reference purposes it would be helpful to see some of the pics and autographs. Kyra |

This is sad news. I like many others valued Donnis' site, if only as a unique archive of space collectables. I purchased a Apollo 13 AB emblem variant from him that I wouldn't have even known about had he not shown it on his site.My hope is that he'll find able and willing help shortly, too. -Rich |

A true man of integrity, honesty, and character- Donnis Willis' contribution to the field of space collecting is a "legacy". I am sure he will do great in whatever field he chooses and I wish him the very best. Thanks Donnis! -Tahir |

What a great shame,Donnis was one of the main people who helped me get started on this hobby. A great guy to do buisness with a man of great help to all collectors. I wish Donnis all the best for the future.Paul |

I too would like to add both my regret that he's leaving the field but also thanks for all the goodies I've both bought and seen on his site. Good Luck for the future and don't stay away too long. Si |

Well now that it's been a few weeks, has anyone received their consigned items back from Donnis? I've emailed and called, but haven't gotten a response or the items I had on his website back.Just curious to see if I'm the only one. does anyone know his plans for the site or the distribution of the listed items? |

I've also heard nothing from Donnis. I'm waiting for several consigned items and a check... so at least you're not the only one. |

I emailed Donnis about buying the AP16 unengraved Robbins medal, that's identical to the one I bought from him 6 months ago, but haven't heard from him either. Ray |

In case anyone else is still waiting - I finally got my consigned items back from Donnis the other day. In the enclosed note he says that he does not have time to read any emails so if you need to contact him you should write (by snail mail) or phone him. |

Just browsing eBay auctions and see he is auctioning items under lunarlegacies. Is he returning to selling? His website remains shut-off. |

I suspect he's just selling off some extras from his own collection, including a few duplicate patches he'd had on his patch page for a while. |

Donnis is doing fine. We've exchanged emails. In fact he has been selling some items on Ebay. Dave |
