Hi all - great site! I came across this forum while doing some research. I am interested in getting your expert input on the best place to sell items. Who would you go to? A quick explaination - my mom worked for NASA for 26 years with almost 12 of those as Gene Kranz secretary. (Any other Clear Lake High alum out there?) On my own and from my mom's estate, I have many unusual pieces - things ranging from documented flown items to original McCall artwork to rare patches/stickers to numerous autographed photos. Along with some run of the mill items also. I would like honest opinions on Aurora - especially if you have been a seller. I did search the collectSpace website for back posts to get info before I asked here. Thanks in advice for whatever info you can give me. |

You have several choices when it comes to selling space memorabilia:a) you could use an auction house like Aurora (I will leave opinions to other members of the message board) b) you can work with a dealer directly (a directory of dealers can be found here, under Sites) c) you can sell the collection yourself, directly to collectors, using the Buy, Sell, Trade forum located on this board In addition, collectSPACE hosts an online marketplace, buySPACE, where we might be interested in helping you sell your memorabilia. If interested, contact buyspace@collectspace.com [This message has been edited by Robert Pearlman (edited January 03, 2003).] |

Dear mxsolita,I'm sure your post has quickened the pulse of many a collectSPACE memeber! If you do decide to contact dealers for a possible consignment arrangement, be sure to contact Steve Hankow at farthestreaches.com. I have enjoyed many buying experiences with Steve. Good luck, Bruce | |
