Presently a tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico, Beryl is expected to make landfall in South Texas as a Category 1 hurricane late Sunday night (July 7), per NOAA.
Johnson Space Center will close to all but essential personnel beginning at 11:59 p.m. Sunday night (July 7) and remain closed on Monday. The center's status can be found here.
Space Center Houston will be closed on Monday (July 8). All tours, experiences, camps and events are cancelled.
The Lone Star Flight Museum at Ellington Field will be closed on Monday.
The Houston Museum of Science will be closed Monday. This also includes the museum's location in Sugar Land. as well as George Observatory.

The International Space Station flew 260 miles over Hurricane Beryl at approximately 9 a.m. EDT Monday, July 1, 2024. External cameras on the orbiting laboratory captured views of the storm as it traveled across the Caribbean near the Windward Islands as a Category 4 hurricane with winds around 130 miles per hour.
