Kind of following along the lines of how peoples' houses are decorated with space memorabilia (and there are some amazing presentations!) I was wondering if anyone else has some things on their desks at work, too?I've a reprint of Discovery STS-63 launch tacked up on my desk divider. I've then got a small model of one of the Mars Rovers (I decided this one was Spirit), and a model of an Apollo Astronaut. And my NASA mug of course. Nothing is expensive, but I love to have them brighten up my work day. What do other people have? |

Going around my desk/cubicle, I have a Space News 2008 calendar over my ATX patch and name tag. On my bullitin board, I have a space shuttle pin (given to me by COL John Blaha), mission pins from STS-1, 41-D, 49, Cassini-Huggens, and STS-1 25th anniversary. My computer wall paper is that great shot of ENDEAVOUR fom STS-118. To my right I have my Apollo patches and my NASM space history calendar. Behind me is my shuttle patch collection. All in all a great space themed work area. |

On my work desk at the moment are a photograph of me on the flight deck of the Space Shuttle Discovery, a boxed set of the illustrated edition of Andrew Chaikin's "A Man On The Moon", a deluxe copy of Alan Bean's "Apollo" book and a prototype (with accompanying display stand) of a Coca-Cola can that was tested on a 1985 Challenger flight.And... oh yeah, just found them... a John Glenn campaign button and a coin commemorating the Apollo program that supposedly contains metal from one of the Saturn V launch towers. And, oh wait, here's a CD-ROM detailing the first 100 Shuttle flights and another CD-ROM containing the mission transcriptions of every flight in MGA. And another CD-ROM on Apollo 13. You'd understand, if only you could see that clutter that IS my workspace. |

I'm afraid the only space item on my desk is a virtual one. I have a picture of the earth taken by either a Shuttle or ISS crew member as my Windows desktop.I've had Shuttle and Saturn V images in the past. My co-workers are unsurprised by my space nerdery. |

I have a little fuzzy stuffed space shuttle next to my monitor net to my Linux penguin. Mr. Spock is on top of my monitor next to a little Wright Flyer ornament. I used to have some space photos on my cube wall as well as a movie poster from "Shadow of the Moon" but I got moved and don't have a new cubicle wall yet. Hopefully I'll get that again, I'm feeling exposed! |

I have copies of my daughter's certificates stating her name is on the Mars rovers and the Dawn spacecraft. These are frequent conversation starters. The only other item is a collage of photos of me with various astronauts. This one usually just gets blank stares. |

I don't keep space stuff at my current job, but my sister gets royally mad when she sees the pic of Neil, Buzz and Mike I took at Oshkosh in 1994 in my wallet and none of my FAMILY! |

My desk at work has a Skylab lucite (with a piece of Skylab in it), a photo of me with Neil Armstrong, a photo of me with John Young, a photo of me with Fred Haise. Also, a poster of Buzz Aldrin stepping of off the LM (I used it for a project at work). A friend of mine also did one of those photos where you can cut an paste - I have the Apollo 11 crew photo with Armstrong, Me (instead of Collins) and Young (instead of Aldrin). My only dislike on that photo is I would be in the CM and not on the moon... |

I don't have a desk, but my Textiles project is a duvet cover with a space shuttle on, my media project was on STS-118, and most of books have some space scrawlings in the back! And my bag will soon have some mission patches sewn on it. |

I have a mission control mug that contains my pens, a 60's vintage KSC postcard book and a hold down stud from an SRB. I challenge people to lift the stud as it's surprisingly heavy. On the walls are the obligatory Shuttle launch posters, a beautiful Moonpans print from Apollo 17 and a photo-collage poster of my first visit to KSC. Unlike some above, my space stuff is admired by co-workers who often strike up space conversations. |

Well, let's see here... On the walls: a presentation including a Buzz Aldrin signed litho of him on the moon, a Cernan signed replica of the Apollo 11 plaque, and replica mission patches from each of two astronauts' missions; a Charlie Duke-signed photo of him and me from the banquet at the Burbank UACC show; (unsigned) photos of Neil Armstrong with my mother and father; a Gene Kranz-signed Mission Control mission statement; unsigned photos of me with Ed Gibson and Scott Carpenter (the latter with my two daughters in it as well); a magnetic figure of an astronaut in an MMU (which I have nicknamed "Loose Bruce"); and a few other odds and ends. On my desk: my lucite containing a piece of film from Liberty Bell 7 and a toy pen shaped like a rocket that actually launches.Numerous people have asked me if I used to work for NASA, but just last week a young fella blurted out, "Dude, have you, like, been on the moon?!!!" Naw, I'm just a space geek. And proud of it! |

I've got just one space item on my desk. It's a curcuit board from the launch control used during Apollo missions. I've got it setting on one of those coated wire frames for propping up those collectible plates. |
