Yesterday I received an email from buyspace@collectspace.com with the subject Important. If you get this email, dont open it. It contains a virus. Steven

Remember that in virus infected mails the address in the "From" part of the e-mail header is very rarely that of the person that sent it to you.
Almost certainly there is another person whose PC is infected and who has both your address and that of buyspace in their address books (or even just in their browser cache).
Basically, when a virus activates it searches address books and cached webpages for email addresses and then sends itself to them all, inserting randomly selected addresses from the same list as the "From" entry.

This is obviously one advantage in never using my E-Mail address book. In six years I just never got round to working out how to use it. I just hit "reply" if I want to reply to someone's E-Mail. If I want to send a message I just check the last message from someone to get their address. Clumsy? Yes. Lazy? Yes. Does it hinder the spread of viruses? Seems so. Don't knock the Stone Age!
