Is this a Dynasoar X-20 contractor tiepin? Also got the cufflinks and a pin from the same seller.

Looks more like an SR-71 than Dynasoar.

Never saw SR-71 on a rocket. Items look more like the X-20 mounted on rocket.

It is not a Dynasoar. It looks like a MIM-3 Nike-Ajax missile.

Never said there was. Look closer. Nothing like the Dynasoar with spikes at the end of the wings. Plus too many fins on the booster.

X-20 Wing tips look pretty spiky in this photo:

I suggest you look up the configuration of the MIM-3 Nike-Ajax missile. It looks very much like this pin.

No, the wing is straight from the nose to the fin. The pin's vehicle has a scalloped wing.

I agree with the other opinion with you might want to pay attention to the MIM-3 Nike-Ajax missile. Looks as about as close to one as one can get.

I am pretty sure there is one outside our local defense plants entrance but I think it would be hard to stop and take a picture without being surrounded. 😁 They specialized in making the propellant for the Nike back in the day.

I will check my late father's things and see if he had the same tie tac with his patches. He retired from the plant many years ago.

All times are CT (US)
