Can anyone help me with a history on a large lucite with a coin featuring a spaceman on the moon and command module above his head. The lucite is cone shape with NASA's logo and "Apollo" in gold. |

An example as mentioned above for sale on eBay here, photos show front and back of the medallion. I've also seen a version where the landing date and quote are not present, with all other details the same. |

They were used by Rockwell's Space Division for awards and/or promotional gifts to company officials, VIP's, and even to known news media folks involved with first lunar landing mission. |

I have one of these, it's a cold polyester resin display, mine is identical except for the lack of a NASA logo on the bottom. I got it from an NAA engineer who worked in Downey. This was a five-step resin that required three separate pours that's interesting but not particularly rare. |
