Kudos to Jurg because he provided the relevant info from the 1996 catalog.

Need Fall 2000 description of Lot #333 "Temporary Storage". The PART number (V16-601416-101) matches the Preliminary Apollo 7 Stowage list (A7PrelimStowage_HSI-29924.pdf). Believe that "Temporary Stowage" is NASA-speak for "Trash Bag".

Scott is correct: Serial number is different than Part number.

Drawing number, not a serial number - different animals.

Quoting the catalog:
"Temporary Stowage" Cloth Container (12x32")

This green two pocket cloth unit appears to be made from nylon and has a double elastic top to hold it closed. There are green Velcro attachments as well as several NASA ID numbers (V16-601416-101) on the reverse. This may be NASA aviation related rather tan NASA space-related or else, since it came from the collection of a North American Rockwell executive, it may have been a type of prototype or developed prior to the changes caused by the Apollo 1 fire. In any case, other some obvious sings of wear and some grease spots, a provocative piece of memorabilia.

The lotted article is block 1 CSM program affiliated.

All times are CT (US)
