I found the following two covers in a group of six that I recently purchased on eBay. I was wondering what event they were issued for. One cover is a Spacepex '75 cover but that event was held from 25-27 July. Viking 1 was launched 20 August but I can find no information that the USS Okinawa was involved.
It appears that both covers were issued by the JSC Stamp Club. Please can anyone help?

Ross, I have seen such covers on eBay a couple of times lately. As far as I managed to dig – no connection to ASTP recovery. USS Okinawa LPH-3 took part in operations Eagle Pull and Frequent Wind (evacuations in Cambodia and Vietnam in Apr-May 1975) and in summer was positioned in San Diego homeport for post-deployment stand-down. There is no mention of any kind of PRS backup task.
I was bidding on the same lot just to list these USS Okinawa covers in my website as irrelevant to ASTP, just a nice "naval souvenirs."
