In 2022, Hungary's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade began HUNOR, the Hungarian to Orbit program, to select a Hungarian to conduct research on board the International Space Station. The campaign identified four finalists: Gyula Cserényi, Tibor Kapu, Ádám Schlégl and András Szakály.On Monday (May 27), it was announced that Tibor Kapu was selected to fly on a future Axiom Space mission with Gyula Cserényi serving as his backup. As part of the announcement, photos of both men were released wearing a HUNOR emblem and a patch representing the four final candidates. ![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/hungary_hunor_patch01.jpg) ![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/hungary_hunor_finalists_patch01.jpg)
