How are collectors who are mounting their space patches on a display but also want to prevent permanent damage (i.e. from the use of adhesives, pins, etc.) affixing them to boards? |

What are the long term issues with fugitive glue / /"booger" glue dots? I can't seem to determine if they're safe for archival purposes. |

Maybe place the patch inside a small clear protective sleeve and then attach that to your display board? |

I use hem tape and have no issues with residue. |

Use a tag gun and short tagging barbs, you only need to use a few to secure the patch to a backing and they won't hurt anything. |

Great recommendation for a soft backing. And for affixing to solid structure like wood? |

The tagging needles will actually pierce archival matting board. You could mount the patch on matting board, cut to the appropriate shape/size and then mount it on the display. |
