My daughter attended the Future Astronaut Training Program at the Kansas Cosmosphere this week. Her team designed their own team patches. It is nothing fancy or anything. I think they were given some icons and images and they compiled their patches from these basic images and then added their names to them. I think it would be neat if I could turn this design into a real patch. I checked the internet and most custom patch designers need a minimum of 50 or 100 before they will make custom patches. Does anyone know of a custom patch maker that would make a run of 5 to 10 patches? Mike Myer Humboldt KS |

Hi Mike, it might be worth getting in touch with Stewart Aviation. Their email for patch enquiries is info@stewart-emblems.com Hope you get some where with the patch. David. |

"Hope you get some where with the patch. David."Thanks for the information but their webpage states "This initial programme cost is the same whether one badge or 1000 badges are to be made from it....so small quantities, one-offs or samples are not feasible. The minimum first order quantity there fore is 50" Anyone know of anyone else? Mike |

Hi again. We (here in South Bend) have SEVERAL shops that make stuff like this....seems like nearly any larger community/area would have.....now that there are so many "sewing machine" models that can do about anything you want as far as "sewing" goes..... Check the yellow pages for craft shops, embroidery places, even large "sewing" shops should know businesses or people who have machines that can make what you want. These machines, nowadays, just will be able to scan your artwork, then produce the finished product ! Good luck ! Gene Bella |

Mike--Some of my associate companies can produce cloth patches in lower quantities, however, at least 50 is a good number to start with. In only producing...say 10 or so...is such a small number to start with. Usually in such cases with extreme low quantities, from past experiences, another slightly bigger order may follow. It might be best to consider a first production run of 50 or more. Just a few thoughts here, Mike. |
