I'm working on four X-15 models, one is the 1/15th 66670 that was in my aero design exhibit. The other three are 1/40th desktops for a friend.

One is the A-3 Delta, the other two are the A-2 and A-3 with the Marquadt SERJ engines which look pretty darn slick. They are 3D printed using archival material, not PLA.

Here are a few images. The finished models will have decals. Hope you enjoy.

Its not FDM, it's printed by Shapeways using a laser sintered powder, they used to call white, strong, flexible. Now I think its SLS 12. Boy howdy it's white, strong, flexible. Not biodegradable like PLA.

Its a pain to sand but the parts have almost no layer lines and it takes primer really well.

All times are CT (US)
