Well 2008 has come and gone. To end the year, while I had the time off, my wife and I started and completed a project to add to our collection. We completed a model of the CSM/LM/SLA in 1/48 scale. Now all we need to do is complete the Saturn V and 1B in that scale!!!!

You really need to post photos of the other models in that showcase. I would love to see the others. Thanks. |

Agreed; I want to see it, too! At first, when looking at your posted picture, I thought it was the inside of a museum. ------------------ Dave, NAR # 21853 SR. Challenger 498 Section NAR Advisor |

Is that the ole Revell 1/48 CSM/LM and S-IVB combo kit with modifications to make it look more like a block 2? It looks nice. |

Yes it is. This build has a long history of starts and stops. I have wanted a Block II build of this model for years and wanted it built "Professionally" . I won one on eBay and it got swallowed up in the Dana saga. I obtained another and after 6 months a builder gave up on it. So we took on the build over the Christmas holidays, I turned out just as we wanted. As far as other pictures, if you take a look at the thread "Scratch built 1/48 Skylab model" in this category, scroll down to my post you will see the companion side to the display cases shown in this thread. I am have e-mail photo attachment issues right now, but will post more pictures of this side's displays when I can (thanks to Robert). I say "this side" as the total display is actually two display sections either side of our TV. BTW; if you are looking for a professional builder, the fellow who built the Skylab is the man. See his web site "Santos Design Solutions" for more. |
