OK, I helped with some of the photography. There are original models of the development of the X-20 and I took photos of them at the Boeing Archives for the book. You will not have to wait very long for it to be on the shelves but that is all I can say - I'm sworn to secrecy about the details....!------------------Jake Schultz - curator,Newport Way Air Museum (OK, it's just my home)Robert PearlmanJake, is the book you mention in addition to Apogee's upcoming release about the X-20? http://www.countdown-creations.com/mission_reports.htm#Dyna-Soar [This message has been edited by Robert Pearlman (edited July 17, 2003).]lewarrenCount me in.LiztfetnerMe too!tegwilymI have to get in line also. (we can all dream)------------------Jake Schultz - curator,Newport Way Air Museum (OK, it's just my home)MICHAEL CLEMENTEI am very interested in X-20 memorabilia. I collect x-plane memorabilia. Is this some sorrt of memorabilia or just the Apogee book about the X-20 that is coming out?JakeAs far as I know, only the book will be out... I believe, however, that there is a real desire for more X-20 items to be available - as the response to this posting also indicates...------------------Jake Schultz - curator,Newport Way Air Museum (OK, it's just my home)Lee GordonGosh, what a response! I had my husband put out a feeler to see if anyone was interested in X-20 "stuff". So now I need some advice. I am the daughter of Henry C. Gordon and grew up at Edwards AFB. Now that both my parents have passed, I am disposing of their estate. I have two boxes of X-20 memorabilia and am thinking of dividing it up into 4 lots rather than spending much time selling items individually. I have artist's renditions of the X-20 in space, patches, lapel pins, lighter, photos, slides, negatives, printed matter, etc. I haven't inventoried the boxes yet. Does this sound like a feasible plan? How does one place a value on these items? Thanks for any advice.PS. Several websites have erroneous info about my father. He did NOT retire after that X-20 was cancelled, and his correct death date is Sept. 24, 1996.Robert PearlmanLee, first let me apologize for hosting one of the sites that had incorrect information. I have since corrected the date of your father's passing as you have provided: http://www.collectspace.com/collection/autographs-hgordon.html Regarding your father's collection, you are more than welcome to post here further to sell or seek assistance with your items, or if you should so desire, our online consignment store, buySPACE, will be more than willing to assist with identification, appraisal, and sales. If this is of interest, please contact me at robert@collectspace.comMICHAEL CLEMENTEThanks for the update and would be greatly interested in whatever way you decide to divide up the memorabilia. The X-20 was a program that was short lived and not a lot of memorabilia around concerning the program. I'll be looking forward to whatever happens next. JakeAnother idea is to work with Aurora Galleries in L.A. They focus on space and aviation artifacts and hold an auction two times each year. Michael and Victoria are very straight up to deal with and could help you with settling the material. They have dealt with a great number of former astronauts estates.. etc.... I have bought, sold, and worked with other people's estates through them. They can be reached at the following: http://www.auroragalleriesonline.com ------------------Jake Schultz - curator,Newport Way Air Museum (OK, it's just my home)
