As many of you know, we are currently in production on an in-depth set on the development of the Space Shuttle. In the course of this project, we are bringing to life many of the proposals for winged, reusable spacecraft that goes back some time. Through a great deal of CGI material, many of these proposals will finally "fly," or we'll at least get a look at what they would have looked like if they had...Along with this material we are creating a fair amount of "air to ground" audio for the vehicles. Since we'd like to have a varied selection of voices, I am soliciting volunteers for the project. I would much rather have the members of this forum who have space knowledge and enthusiasm participate than seek other volunteers.
While mostly we're looking for American accents, I'm open to some others (after all, John Hodge was a Flight Director). I also would like to have a couple of German speakers for the Sanger antipodal bomber (if you don't mind bombing New York).
We will provide a script for your role and record over the telephone (the filtered nature will be perfect for "air to ground" audio). For each volunteer we will pay $1 in compensation and require a release for the material we record (simply the legal nature of the world today).
If you would like to participate please email us at info@spacecraftfilms.com. We will credit everyone that participates on the disc. Because we are looking for a large number of voices, we are not able to provide a full DVD set for your participation, and are looking for this on a volunteer ($1) basis. I will, however, send you a DVD-R of the sequence in which your work is used.
If you would like to participate, please send a note to info@spacecraftfilms.com with the subject line of Space Shuttle Voice and provide your contact information. We'll get back to you with info, eventually a script of your role, and work to set up a convenient time for recording.
Thanks to everyone who wants to participate, and to Robert for allowing us to use this forum to seek volunteers.
