T O P I C R E V I E WspacefloriHonestly, you are a frequent ebay seller but are you frequently checking your monthly ebay invoice as well ???As reported today by German computer magazine PCWorld Ebay has admitted to one customer that they are having problems with their accounting software doing the monthly statements which are not solved at this time.Magazine's interview requests weren't answered from ebay so far...In this example the ebay seller was billed 48 cents instead of 45 cent "insertion fee"Not that much difference, but multiply that with 20 million customers ???Ebay failed to inform their sellers and while I don't know if this is a "German" ebay problem, it certainly wouldn't hurt checking your ebay bills more closely !Hey, and I wondered how the hell they could post such profits each time.... FloriangliderpilotukJust like the banks - you can bet that if they had UNDER-charged you they'd be on your case immediately, but overcharging....nah, just hope nobody notices.Paul BramleyPhilipThanks for noting that Florian ... By The Way, congrats on the new website , nice work ! http://mars-literature.skynetblogs.be/ spacefloriHi Paul, and it's not only banks...same with larger companies, gas/electricity, communications and many more...I currently have claims open against German postal service, German Telekom, my online provider, insurance company - a total mess. The more they claim to improve customer service in advertising, the worse it gets...They always claim it's the bad bad software...but surprisingly that software never makes mistakes in favour of the client....makes me thinking....FloriancollshubbyFlorian, you nailed it on the head with customer service. Once upon a time, if a company shortchanged a customer, they jumped on it and corrected the problem, because customer satisfaction meant the company's survival. Somewhere along the line, the big companies realized the customer needed them more than they needed the customer. Now eerything is cutting costs here, there, and everywhere, including the employment of knowledgeable, curtious staff. Everything boils down to the bottom line and $$$. Of course, a lot of companies are not like that. But banks, telephone companies, etc. customer service has gone down the tubes in general. I can't remember the last time I didn't get the run-around with Telstra or National Bank.Apologies to anyone here works for Telstra or National. Everyone here is cool, and I know the dealers here would move mountains for their customers.------------------Brian Peterastronautbrian@hotmail.comSpacebugThis has been a true horror story since the second week of Febuary. Double billings which put bank accounts into default causing overdrafts, account statements not avaiable, Rounding up amounts owed, are just a few of the problems this billing system update have caused. It has still not been fixed, more than 6 Months later! If you sell on Ebay, please inform yourself!Go to Ebay, click Community at top of page.Click Discussion BoardClick Tech issuesScroll down to the thread called Update--New Billing Account Issues. When I looked last night this thread was 109 pages long with 4344 posts.I was lucky as I only got hit once for less than 5.00. I am unlucky as a part of my small income was from ebay, and have not sold since Feburary due to this problem. Ebay has lost my trust as a seller. With regards to all,Sheila
