Boeing CST-100 commercial crew patchThe Boeing CST-100 was designed as part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program. In September 2014, Boeing was selected to build the CST-100 to fly astronaut crews to the International Space Station.
The CST-100 is designed to transport up to seven passengers or a mix of crew and cargo to low-Earth orbit destinations, including the planned Bigelow Aerospace space station.
The first uncrewed CST-100 flight is planned for 2017, with the first crewed flight to the International Space Station that same year.
Boeing officials debuted this emblem design at a Jan. 26, 2015 press conference about the status of the CST-100.
